Our club outing to Wings of Paradise\, butterfly conservatory has been confirmed. We have access to the conservatory before the general public\, from 9 am until 10 am. During that time\, you can use a tripod. At 10 AM the conservatory opens to the general public and tripods will need to be put away\, but you can continue to photograph.

We will begin the evening with a quick introduction to CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Art) from the regional representative\, Thelma Beaubien. Followed by live judging for the Jack Battler Creative Competition\, and then critique of images.
Please bring in images (digital\, print or slides) for critique by the other members. 2 images from each photographer will be shown for critique\, and if time allows additional images will be shown. Plan to bring up to 8 images\, and indicate which 2 images are your first choices for critique. If you are bringing slides - please inform Tina Dorrans by Jan. 31st so arrangements to bring the equipment can be made.

Final selection of the 30 images from the club will be made by the members during our March 1st meeting.
PRINTS\:
Prints must be no smaller than 5”X7” or larger than 16”X20”. Images must be
mounted on clean white board or foam core\, measuring 16”X20” and may be matted.
Prints may be made from film (slides or negatives) or digital files. Prints either
printed by the entrant or commercial prints are eligible. However\, all digital
manipulations must be done by the entrant. No identification is to be visible on the
front of the image or matte. Identification must be on the back of the mounted print
with the following information\:
* Title
* Name of maker
