Meeting location

HGCC meetings start at 7:30 PM in the gymnasium at Keatsway Public School, 323 Keats Way, Waterloo. Wheelchair accessible. Free Parking.

Meetings are usually held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from September to June. Please refer to the club program for dates and details.

Member's Night: Jack Battler results, and critique session

At this meeting we'll present the results of the Jack Battler Creative competition. Following that, we'll have an image critique session and discuss the images brought to the meeting.

Photographs due: Two or three images (slides, prints, or digital) for the critique session.

HGCC and Mississauga Camera Club member Jean Weller will give two presentations on Monday, 7 January. The first is entitled Learning to See Photographically. In the second, Jean will present Arctic Voyage, a series of images taken around Baffin Island and the Arctic archipelago.

  • Two images for the Jack Battler Creative competition (slides, prints, or digital).
  • Up to eight (8) images for the GTCCC Interclub 2008 competition (precise entry requirements will be posted January 2).

Member's Night: Round 1 Results

This Monday, 17 December we'll present the results of the first round of in-club and theme competitions that were judged this week, along with some judges comments. The presentation of results will be followed by a social evening to celebrate the festive season - if you can, bring along a plate of goodies for all to share. Refreshments will be served.

Our meeting on March 2 features Hilarie McNeil-Smith, who will exhibit some of her digital presentations (and describe some tips for making them), and in addition describe some recent work in "digital painting".


Hilarie’s photographic experience began when she was 16, with the gift of a 35mm camera. She has been involved in various artistic ventures throughout her life, but didn’t become a serious photographer until the early 1990’s when she joined the Mississauga Camera Club.
