Hi all
The 2017 Stag & Swan (a friendly competition between us and the Stratford club) will be held in Stratford this year on Tuesday March 7 and we need your best images so we can keep the trophy in Waterloo where it rightfully belongs! Yes this is earlier than previous years.

- Up to three (3) images per person
- Images can be of any topic (ie, open category)
- Must be a jpg file.
- Must be a maximum size of 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high. This means that a typical horizontal image would be 1024 px wide and 768 px high while a typical vertical image would be max. 768 px wide by 768 px high.
- Images must be submitted in their proper orientation and will be shown as submitted.
- Please title the images rather than using the file number given it by the camera. (normally image titles are not read out during the competition but if they do a judges attention was drawn to something he or she might not have otherwise noticed in the image!)
- Filenames can be the title of the image, one to three words, so that a hawk attacking a grackle might be Hawk_and_Grackle.jpg or simply Lunch.jpg

HGCC Image Competition

For anybody wanting to review the images that were presented at the HGCC image competition on January 16,2017.
I have posted the images to my site... I have included the image titles and image scores.
The URL to the site is :

Navigate the the Galleries page, click on the HGCC Competition gallery

The credentials that you need to enter the gallery are :

Username HGCC
Password 2017

Click on a thumbnail image to see that image larger.
Along the top of the large image window are the navigation buttons to navigate through the gallery.
On the top left edge of the large image is the title of the image (if given). Along the bottom left edge is the scores for that image.
6 6 6 18 indicates that this image received a 6 from judge 1, 6 from judge 2, 6 from judge 3, the 18 indicates the total out of 30.

I have watermarked the images for security, probably not necessary, but was easy to do.

If anybody has any comments, please do not hesitate to send them to me.

I guess that I should give you the results.

For the Individual results:

First place Randy Valentine with his "Warsaw Street Person" image with a score of 27
